Bravenet has too many pop ups, even when you vote in their minipolls and then check the results, it shows a pop up.. the ads take forever to load. i had a website with Bravenet a long time but i took it down because people where complaining about the ads, pop ups, and the very slow loading of the pages because of them.. i had an account with linkreferral.com where people visit your site, and rate it, and the higher the rating, the more visitors you'll get because of it.. and that was how i got the complaints... I have a website hosted with Freewebtown.com, and they have no ads or popups.. and its free.
Bravenet's forum services suck.. and so does the support there.. if you want better service, better forums, tons of features, and better customization options, then go to either Invisionfree.com or Proboards.com (although Invisionfree is a lot better than Proboards) each of these companies have more options and more than 200 features available, and the best part of this is that you have total control of your settings and layout.. if you want to put up an arcade you can.. and if you need help with your board, you can get quick answers to your questions from their very friendly support staff on the support forums as well as knowledgeable members in the community. there is no question that remains unanswered (unlike bravenet's so-called support forums.. where you ask a simple question, and hundreds of people view it, but no one answers it.. even months after it was posted..), and so you will always get help whenever you need it. there are many
coding and design sites available for these forums too.. Invisionfree and Proboards only have ONE BANNER AD on top of their page and a small text link on the bottom of the forum pages.. and if you dont want the ads, you can also purchase ad-removal. i know this because i am the owner of a proboards and an invisionfree forum. Invisionfree and Proboards are the best remotely hosted, free forum companies on the internet today. Can you say the same about Bravenet? I think not! Bravenet has 4 visible ads, in addition to a pop up that you have to close to see the page, causing several others to
open in the background..
Bravenet's tools are just as bad, if not, worse than everything else mentioned previously, but you can definitely get better service with the exact same things that Bravenet offers, for free, and with a lot less ads.. you just have to know where to look..
In regards to Bravenet's web hosting services, there are too many ads. Bravenet has 4, and if you count the pop ups, there is more.. Freewebtown.com is a better website host because they give you 2 gigs of space, and 2 gigs of bandwidth and there are no ads, or pop ups so it is completely ad-free and it is FREE.. if you want additional bandwidth, you can get more in 1 gig increments for a one-time payment of $2 USD.. and if you want another gig, then you can purchase more..  |
