as it is a subsidiary and a joint venture it will not be placed into administration along with the parent. although it doesn't bode well for the parent the subsidiary owns all of that land...best make use of it somehow rather than leave it to fester for years to come.

Re: City Lofts

As far as I can make out, the Half Tide Dock project in Liverpool and the Sheffield operation will continue, but the other six, including Cardiff, are in receivership.

I'm not rejoicing - far from it. I certainly would want to see the site well used, despite my concern that 1800 housing units would generate too much traffic. This is another blow to the total Sports Village concept and presumably also imperils the Pont y Werin bridge, which was due to get a large injection of cash from Bay Pointe as part of the section 106 money towards providing access to Cogan Railway Station. Will Cardiff make up the difference? I'm not optimistic.

Re: City Lofts

Let me correct myself - the Admiral House development is the Cardiff project that's been put into receivership - no mention yet of Bay Pointe

sorry didn't suggest you were rejoicing. I know you're not a practitioner of schadenfreude (sp)...I just thought that it was a joint venture with Allied ??? and as such was outside the scope of administration (different from receivership)..hopefully it is administration which may mean that they have simply called in someone to run their affairs whilst they ascertain if they can continue as a going concern.

The JV has purchased the land at a considerable sum so i'm sure it will go ahead in some form or other...how much did BP promsie sustrans et al for the bridge? Are you aware?

NB that thing I said I'd drop off...I have it in my hand and will do so this evening...apologies for the delay

Re: City Lofts

A bit more on the city lofts administration news on icwales this afternoon. Nice to see the article does mention they aren't the only party involved in the project, but is this actually going to start in the next year or two considering the current climate ?

Re: City Lofts

...the one thing I meant to add was that the picture they are using on icwales is two version behind what we last saw !

Idiots. It's not as if the latest designs haven't been published.
