art question
Hey. I mostly do human anime's and was wondering what you would say is easier. ive noticed that you only have anthro's posted. I was just wondering if you could relate any difficulties associated with anthro's that you wouldnt accounter in humans.

Re: art question
Personally... I find anthro easier. Can't say why.

Re: art question
I've tried anime. I just CANNOT do it.
For one, it's hard making humans NOT look alike. They all have pretty much the same features, and it's the subtle differences that make a person unique. (Coincidentally, this also means you have to draw the same person EXACTLY the same way every time, too, to make them recognizable.) Also, drawing fur gives you a lot more freedom for error in outlining. Human ears are more difficult, and, well, I'm just not an anime artist. I know peopl say my art has some anime stylings, I think they're just (a) deluded or (b) I'm blind. >^oO^< (Most likely b.)

Re: art question
I can't do either very well, except occaisonally. so, ears are hard on humans, and the way the muzzle on an animal blocks some of the face nearly all the time, this messes me up.
By the way... how on earth do you draw casual clothing an an anthro female! I can't do it. So I tend to settle for a fur coat instead.

Re: art question
I'd say, as a bit of an artist myself, that humans in any form (anime or no) are WAY harder to draw than furries. Mostly, this is just because people know humans so well. The look of a human face is hardwired into our brains, so if any proportion is off everyone can see it and it looks totally wrong. With furries though, there's a lot more creative license and you can go with what looks good and mess with features and all kinds of stuff that would look weird on a human face.
Plus, they're just more fun to draw so I have much more practice with them!
