Wins all round
Both Marchwiel ists and seconds enjoyed convincing wins this weekend. The firsts inflicted an 8 wicket defeat on a poor Corwen side- restricting their hosts to 187 on a very good batting wicket- before knocking the runs off for the loss of only 2 wickets. stand-in-skipper Mike Forgrave (64*) and Nish (68*)scored the runs, with the legend David Jones making a quickfire 39. The 2s were also in good form with the bat- scoring a huge 256 in their 45 overs. Mike Warrington(56) top-scored. Tully, Raja and Salman all reached the 30s. Llanrwst battled bravely to 224- however the home side still earned 7 points to Llanrwst's 3. |

Congrats to both teams - excellent results. Pity Mario didn't get a knock but why worry when the early batters are doing the business. Dave 'The Greyhound' Jones still playing cameos. Wow, and I'm just a youngster compared to him. Fantastic effort and really encouraging to see age hasn't diminished his desire to support the Club. As for free buckets from KFC, I doubt the essexboy would get beyond the teatime as you only get 40 minutes of serious eating available !!! Good luck with the next round and could we have a report on the midweek performance ??

so correct j,b 40 mins has never been long enough to fill my ever increasing body, im sure or large frames will get together soon for a few beers and we could always invite my twin hemmo
