Hi, I was just diagnosed with LS today by my OB/GYN... it's nice to finally know the reason for my itch and discomfort all these years! I've never heard of this so I'm just searching the net and learning about it now. I'm 30 years old and pregnant with my second child. I was prescribed Betamethasone Valerate 0.1% and told to use a yeast infection cream in the vagina (3 day monistat ovules) because I guess I have a bit of yeast at the moment as well (?!?). Anyway, I hope that this cream is safe to use during pregnancy. Does anyone have any input or advice given my current situation? Anything I should look out for? For one thing my OB/GYN never mentioned any "changes" that can happen down there but I've been reading a bit about it on the web, so I'm wondering if that is something to be concerned about. My last birth was by emergency c-section, do you think that the tightening that can happen in the vagina would make a difference or have an effect on having a vaginal birth this time? Thanks! |
