HI Guys
Like you, I use dermovate, but my consultant also gives me a pessary called Vagifem which helps. I also shower with Aqueous cream and that helps. Like the other lady said, the biopsy is nothing major and I found that what she said was very accurate. I was told to take 3 days off work, as I work in an office so I am sat on my derriair all day, but I really didn't feel the need and went back to work the next day. I would have gone back there and then, but my hospital appointment was late afternoon. Please try not to worry about the biopsy, it sound a lot worse than it is. BTW, my biopsy was done in the Gyne dept, but where I live, LS is treated by the coonsultant in the sexual health clinic. Having had the biposy done and confirmed, it was a couple of years since I received any treatment because they didn't refer me! It was only after I had a chat with my neighbour who is a health adviser in that department that she suggested I book an appointment to see the consultant. It works brilliantly, if I have any worries, I can phone for an appointment and they will fit me in really quickly. It may be worth you asking it your local GU clinic if you are not getting the answers you need. They don't just look after sexual health, but anything in 'that' area, and my friend tells me they treat everybody from babies to the very elderly - may be worth considering.
