I was diagnosed with LS by biopsy two years ago, but had had symptoms for years. I know there is an increased risk of vulval cancer, and have heard advice to look out for any changes in the skin, but what exactly should I be looking for? There seems to be a small hard lump beneath the skin surface near the vaginal entrance (it can be felt rather than seen) - but this (or something similar) first appeared in February, then I made an appointment with my GP to get it checked, but then it went down so I cancelled. Now it seems to be back. Is this the sort of thing that I need to be looking for as possibly cancer? It was bigger last time, like a swelling. I guess I ought to see my GP (I'm in UK). |
