My daughter and I have been to see about 8 drs. now regarding her LS. We have seen 3 dermatologists, 2 of them pediatric derms, and the common consensus is that this is a disease that will last years, not decades. That is on average, I know some of you have had this for a long time. The one dr. also told me he has only had one case of LS, after being diagnosed in a child, that has persisted into adulthood. This is so very encouraging for me and my 4 yr. old!! I was told given her age, this could be(should be) gone before she reaches puberty! I just wanted to give all you other moms out there who's daughter(or son)has this condition some hope. I'm sure it has been a terrible experience for all of you, as it has been for me. I finally feel a little better about my daughter going through this, when I can't stop it or help her more than I have. I found this to be the best news I could have recieved since we found out what this was. Have faith... |
