Murder Mystery Train Excursion 11/12/05 (NOT age appropriate)
To whom it may concern, I just returned form attending the murder mystery train excursion on 11/12/05 with my 13 year old daughter. The train ride itself was nice and the food was good. However, i do not feel the the sexual undertones of the play / script were age appropriate for my young daughter. It was certainly geared for an adult audience. I was quite shocked to say the least. The immpression given prior to the ride was that the game board clue would be acted out.I assumed that it would be appropriate for children. I was very wrong. Also, please consider for your future children travelers a box car separate from adults choosing to drink . As your intoxicated guests made our ride quite unpleasant. Please Reply . Dear Patrick, I'm sorry you don't feel the Murder Mystery Train did not suit your family. I am not affiliated with the WMSR in any way, but I did forward you concerns to the railroad. |

From what I was told, the murder mystery train is something that was put into place by the current CSRR superintendent, Dave Caplinger. Although Mr. Caplinger didnt believe that the Halloween train (which was sold out in advance for many many years)was appropriate, he did however feel that the murder mystery train would be effective. Now off the subject, Has anyone else noticed the decline in Cass? My last visit I was informed of the many employees that have been there for years in the locomotive shop are now gone. When I asked why it seemed that everyone clammed up a little and the only explanation I got was CAPLINGER. Can anyone tell me whats going on there and why are the employees moving on? Gary Cassell who was engineer for Western Maryland "BIG" six has found other employment, Artie barkley who was shop foreman and previously an engineers has retired and moved to other employment. Wayne Cassell who was the boiler maker and previous fireman has moved on to other employment. I cant imagine whats happening that would make at least three people who spent many years working for the railroad that they all seemed to love, move on and find other work. Anyone know anything more than I do? |
