I got a call from Tyree, wondering if we were okay out here by the swamp. I didn't think to post here, since it was the next town over and I didn't think Chesapeake was being mentioned on the national news. Truth is, Suffolk is exactly opposite us, on the other side of the swamp. The storm came thru Gates Co. NC and could have come either side, but we got missed.
2 of my co-workers were going past Suffolk and the tornado went down the other side of the interstate from them. It had just formed, so they could see clear through it, except for the logs it had picked up already.
Anyway, we're okay here, and I thank Tyree for the concern. He was hoping we might have a basement, but the swamp don't allow for that kind of stuff.
Besides, the tornado hit a TOWN. You won't find me in a town very often.
