Meal plans

I am currently a senior at my high school. I am interested attending your school. The meal plans seem so expensive. As a incoming freshman living on campus, would I have to have a meal plan? I would rather get my own food for a lot cheaper.

Re: Meal plans

Hi Lindsey,

Thanks for the question. At Oakland City University, students who live on-campus are required to purchase the meal plan. The 2008-2009 academic year cost for room and board is $6,228. This includes a 19 meal plan each week.

Although it is an expense, the cost is actually lower than many other institutions including many that are state supported.

I would be glad to help setup a meeting with our Director of Financial Aid if you have further questions.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,

Brian Baker
