When do I /am forced to put my preemies in an infant car seat?
Hi folks, Does anyone know when it’s legally required to put a preemie infant <2.1Kg in a rear facing car seat? I cannot seem to find the Singapore "law" on the min. requirements or a caveat stating that infants below XXkg can be carried in arms. Safety is of utmost importance to us so I just need to know when I need to put them in a car seat. Any thoughts? |

Jus and Jo You should NEVER transport a child in the car in your arms. Infants being held in a parents arms is the largest cause of death in car accidents in the world. Rear facing car seats can take premmies from 1.5kg and as safety is of the utmost importance put them in there now. Sorry to be dogmatic but I have seen the results of an accident where are child was seated but not properly strapped into a forward facing car seat and the result was death and destruction of the family. You may be being careful on the road but that does not mean the driver coming beside you is. Please put them in their seats now |
