Tricycle suggestion
My toddlers will be 2 years old in a week's time. I am planning to buy the 12 inch tricycle for their birthday (http://www.toysrus.com.sg/toysrus/specialoffer/jsp/newSGListProduct.jsp?action=KeywordSearch&lang=en&keyword=girl%20twinkle). The sales guy said it is suited for 3 - 5 years old. My girl is little tall and she is very comfortable with the height. But she is not used to pedalling though. Any one have any suggestions please. Hi Padmaja, How are you? I think the bike you mentioned might be a little bit for your 2yr olds. Besides that, pedalling at this age may also be an issue. My twins are abt 26mths old & the bike seems big for them. In fact, the bike was more comfortable for my 3.5yr old girl. My suggestion is that maybe smthg like this wld be more suitable: http://www.toysrus.com.sg/toysrus/specialoffer/jsp/showBig.jsp?lang=en&productid=1089 My older girl has received a bike similar to that for her 2nd birthday. The one we have does have both pedals & a footrest as well as the handle for us to push her arnd in the beginning. Eventually, she got used to pedalling as the bike was more her height so it wasnt a problem. You are able to remove the footrest & handle once they are able to pedal by themselves. We plan to get her a proper bike soon. Meanwhile her twin brothers are having fun wt her old what-i-wld-call trainer bike:) You might want to shop arnd & check out other places to see what they have. But if you are still keen on the tricycle you mentioned, I believed that there are smaller ones probably abt 10'' which wld suit them better. Its best if you check out bike shops though. Cheers! |

Sasha, thanks for your suggestion and I can always depend on your suggestions. I am fine and I am very excited about my toddlers 2nd b'day. Many of my friends are suggesting me the trainer bike. May be I am over optimistic and was expecting that my daughter can learn pedalling on the tricycle. I will check out the byke shops before doing a purchase. Thanks again. Padmaja |
