cvs or no
Hi, Can any mummies advice me whether should i take cvs test or not? As I'm over 35 so gynea suggest me to take cvs test at 11 weeks to ensure my twin are genetically fine. I'm hesitate as if i don take the test due to the risk of miscarrige and also the fee is quite high. i can only base on the Neck thickness check at 14 week to know whether got any Down or not. As triple is not accurate for twin pregnancy. Can anyone advice me? Thank you so much |

Is CVS the blood test? I have forgotten. For my case, the doc had said that the blood tests are not accurate for twins as the high/low levels of each reading could be distorted as we are talking about twins not singleton. For me, I took both the neck thickness tests + the blood tests. In fact the blood tests came out horrible the first time round and I had to re-do a second one to set my mind at ease, knowing that blood tests probably are unreliable anyway. Should not have taken in the first place. I am about 30 when I had my twins. A more definitiove test would be the amnio but that carries risks too. |
