Hi Tuti,
Sounds all too familiar to me :)

May I ask how old your babies are right now? My first tip for you is to feed both your babies at the same time. I had the same problem as you when my babies first came home. They were on different feeding schedule. However, I had my hubby to help wt night feedings so we were assigned one baby each. But we realised that feeding them does take a lot of time & we slowly changed their feeding times so we can feed them both together.

I am sure you are asking how you are to feed 2 babies esp when your hubby is on night shift. Therefore, my advice: to prop both babies on your pillows to feed them (if you please, you may use a rocker/bouncer for this). I did this when I fed my twins in the day time as well. Call it plain laziness or whatever (yes, my method hv been critisised), but it is difficult with an older child & no help. So I get what you are in.

Hope this helps, let me know how it goes :)

Hi -- I am also wondering how old your babies are and if you are breast or bottle feeding.

My twins were basicaly always bottle fed (even if I was pumping breast milk). After they were about 4 weeks old I (or my helper) were able to feed them by ourselves. Feed one, change, put back to bed, feed the other one, change, put back to bed. Once you get the hang of it, it goes really fast.

As PP said, you can use a bouncy chair to hold one if they wake up at the same time. But I found if I got to the first baby just as he was starting to stir, he wouldn't really wake up, wouldn't cry very loud and would drink quickly and go back to sleep.

But you need to be trying to get them into a routine (this is easier once they hit 3 months). So the feeding has scheduled times -- makes it all easier, and you know what to expect. Even if they are younger than 3 months, you can try getting them to bed at the same time each night (following a bedtime routine); and get them up the same time each morning to start the day. For me it was up 7am, to bed 7pm.

Also keep the night time feeds very calm, don't talk or even have eye contact with the babies. keep lights as low as possible.

As for your older child - that's tough - I have an older one too who still wakes up. Don't know what to advize - hopefully she'll get used to the noise!

Good luck!
