Ship of Dreams
Hello. I'm currently writing a play, part of which features the Titanic story. I'm trying to find out who gave Titanic the name 'Ship of Dreams'? Was it used at the time or is an invention of James Cameron and the movie? Many thanks Malcolm |

Hello Malcolm. "Ship of Dreams" stood for the "dreams" of all the immigrants coming to America to start a better life. This iconic depiction has been around a long time & not thought up by Mr. Cameron. Hope this helps. I have forwarded your question to others to better answer as well. Regards, Denise |
