Fix You
Let's talk about the new single, "Fix You"! Do you like it? Was it the right song to release? Doesn't the video look cheap? No!! Its brilliant!!! Can any one tell me what CM means whe he says "And ignite you're bones"????!!! Sounds painful!!! |

it may be just because bones rhymes with "home" under the alternate rhyming structure :) |

The lights are supposed to represent the chakras. Your bones carry the electrical current of the chakras through the body. The song Fix You was, in Martin's own words "there most important song to date". I believe it was written to induce kundalini awakening in the listener. interesting site. |

That makes sense, Salt, when looking at the intense Yoga training Chris has followed. Awakening of the (intelligent) energy sometimes called 'Kundalini' is known to produce with some people the experience of lights and *bell sounds*. Coldplay lyrics are riddled with these pointers. The form of Yoga he's taking is the key to many of the lyrics: divine love, Gwyneth as a Mary (also into the same kind of Yoga) and all the deceivingly simple sounding mystical metaphores. It's perfect! |

Do'nt start thinking that Chris does'nt agonise over every singel word. NOTHING is their by accident. Chris dos'nt make mistakes. He "fixes" them.

Kinda reminds me of DOOM! Remember that, when the flaming skulls used to come flying at you, all bitey? My brother used to have it on his PC like 95 and we'd play it in the dark and when one of those guys come out you would just scream! What does that mean! Is CM a Death's Head!! |

Good points, SALTS and Garlic. Of course it it, the light pouring up his spine in a moment of illumination and "igniting his bones". "X&Y" - ying and yan - the opposites alchemically united in the crucible of his body. This is how Chris will "Fix You". When you feel "So Low", "you don't have to be alone". |

It's definately part of the whole structure that 'burns', of course. Also it means creativity, asserting oneself, rising up! But in terms of traditional Kundalini I'd think about the sacrum or sacred bone around where this energy is 'stored' until awakened. If you really have to 'pick' one bone, that is. |
