The apple itself actually seems to play a part to the entire Christ-Chris Martin equation here... King Arthur (a Christ-like figure himself) and his wife beautiful blond queen Guinevere (pronouced "Gwen-nev-ear, as in Gwenyth Paltrow, aka Mary, etc.)played out some pretty heavy shit in the realm of Avalon. Avalon translates literally as "Isle of Apples" (Apple Martin). And also as noted above apples also played a part in both Avalon and Eden. I also raised an eyebrow at the symbology of adding "Fiona Apple" to the tour this year... This chain of Christ consciousness seems to move from vessel to vessel, it moved for a brief period through The Beatles and their peculiar named "Apple" record label. It now seems to be channeling itself via coldplay. |

Moses might above all refer that he was raised by Egyptian royalty (a Princess - Gwyneth) and trained in magic by the courts (Magicians - Chris). * Read the Bible to check it yourself! * The Apple sign by the way is not just a possible fit for the Genesis fruit (which isn't specified) but more known for the geometry of the inside seeds, a 5-pointed star. Even the apple plant flowers with this 5-pointed arrangement intact. It's one of the few (if not only) fruit that has such consistency from seed to flower to fruit. *Slice and grow an apple to check it yourself * Chris Martin cannot escape his own symbolism, even if he wanted to. But his intense lyrics and yoga involvement makes me think he's aware of this. |

Don't forget that Moses was born at the Mount Sinai hospital in New York! Garlic Host is, as always, bang on the money here. The star shape is deeply symbolic - Chris Martin is a "star", Jesus was heralded by a star. Stars mean special people. But Jesus was probably the 6-pointed Jewish Star of David. The five pointed star has different connotations. It unites the five elements and is associated with the planet Venus. Venus, of course, represents the sacred feminine, so Apple is a suitable name for the daughter of the Saviour (Chris Martin)! But apple is also the fruit in the Garden of Eden that gave knowledge. Chris loves knowledge, look at how much he talks about solving puzzles and fixing things in his lyrics. He is Gnostic, ie seeking enlightenment through knowledge. This is certainly a "Puzzle, puzzling me"!
