The Holy Shroud of Martin & The Pilgrimage to Glastonbury
Enjoyed the documentary, its really neat how the songs were done folky-country. We had our own pilgrimage back in March to Toronto but never thought to document the journey. Funny story too about the Shroud of Martin. |

Thanks for the positive feedback, PETRA, I'll be sure to pass it onto Our Glorious Leader. Dean was very worried that he might have "gone too far" with the documentary. I'm sure, were you to film your next Pilgrimage, he would be even happier still. Incidentally, BBC and Channel 4 have both yet to reply to our demand that they show it on the news, or at least at three-thirty on a wednesday night. Scrumpy - that certainly was biblical mud. We arrived the morning after, when someone had already drowned n their tent. Because they'd laid straw everywhere to soak up the moisture, the ground got really sticky, and you had to strain with every step to pull your foot out of the mud like pulling a plunger off a plug hole. |

Jesus fucking H christ!!!!!! Let me get this straight, you had tickets for the Glastonbury Festival, but you only arrived on the saturday and form the looks of it-you then went back to the hotel to watch it on FUCKING TV!! Please tell me your kidding and this was all craftily edited and in actual fact you DIDN'T waste the tickets. Which by the way are very hard to get hold of-leaving thousands disapointed that they cannot attend. No, no, I'm sure u camped from thursday til monday, drank cider, wandered through the green fields, watched the sun rise at the stones and had the weekend of your lives. No way are u a bunch of retarded geeks who spent the weekend in a hotel, bemoaning the fact that you never met that wet pussy martin.. NO NO, I'm sure its you who is having the last laugh. Come on you got me-right???? |

Actually, as The Church of Chris Martin is now an officially registered charity, we were allowed in for nothing. And the hotel was paid for by Coldplay's management, though we suspect it was to keep us away from the backstage area. Anyway, we went for music, not mud. And it's over-rated, too. It's like being in a refugee camp, except one where everyone's drunk and on drugs. |
