Interesting, yes, if a buch of advertising for an "ironic" studenty play is interesting. Nolte is not a great man. He has a face like a scrotum and a cancerous voice. And his films are all shit too. Sting might be a bendy-limbed pervert with a "satire-defying" album of lute music, but at least he does a lot of good work to help the rainforset and that. He was on Band Aid as well. And Chris Martin probably likes the Police. This should be considered HERECY. |

It's on the surface a puzzeling video. But I can imagine the scene of Jesus in the Gospels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_and_the_money_changers to be of similar shocking impact for those who think the message is only sweet and no sword. Here the harassment of the guy with the camera seems to be anger on the downright devastating murder weapon the camera has become. On every street corner, around everything and everyone famous - we watch - and watch and suck the life out of them, only to find ourselves more dead by the minute. Media are becoming the death squads of the modern world. Knowing that Chris could decide to avoid the camera as a whole and forbid his wife to play before cameras. But here's a difference: *acting* before the lens, as a rock star or an idol - one *plays* and becomes idol. But the camera peering into privacy, looking at the street, 'reality tv', gutter press, big brothers.... here lies the real seduction - death by sublimation, or simulation. Chris Martin his anger seems righteous to me but at the same time unguided. He might be in his dark night of the soul, a bit lost in temptation and his message here gets lost in translation - in human emotion. Prospect will explain... |

"A puzzle, puzzling me..."  It's true that Jesus threw the money-lenders out of the temple, and it's true that he sai "I bring not peace, but a sword." (Matt. 10:34) These are puzzles which puzzle still. The truth is not simple: nobody said it would be easy. Chris is yin and yang, alpha and omega, x&y.  And he showed that cunt his message with the back of his righteous hand!
