Dole Cheats

Well having just realised how much i have payed in taxes over the last few years, i am now at the end of my teather with the lazy sods in our community who think it is OK to Sit Around All Day and Get Paid from my hard earned monies so they can laze around their hoses and even worse, do some work and get paid for it whilst still claiming Dole Monies.

Well I For One have had enough. Let us as a community stand together and report all the cheats. If they got out there and worked then my taxes could be reduced. And Yes There Are Jobs Out There. You Just have to clean yourselves up and go looking

I am fed up, and i will be reporting people. Watch Your Selves if you are climing and scamming

Re: Dole Cheats

Hi Brian

Thanks for that

It just makes me sick that i like many others have to work, and then see almost 50% of what i earn going in stoppages so that lazy layabouts can sit or lay about the house, claim benefits, Have their house rent paid for, Have their Council Tax Paid for, Water Rates Paid For, and then laugh at the rest of us out working.

If they dont want to do work because it is below them, then great, dont pay them any benefits

I might even start a web site to name and shame local cheats

Re: Dole Cheats

why are you spouting such rubbish have you ever been unemployed i have been off sick for 5 years after working for 32 years i dont get my water rates council tax or anything else paid, yes there are some who claim and work but there are a lot more genuine cases and as for reporting people well if youre all about honesty name and shame by all means but have the guts to give your own name, and no there are not jobs out there if there are name me some

Re: Dole Cheats

Bob

are you soo ill that you cant get a job??

you have had 5 years on the sick

Surely in 5 years you could have re-trained. You can obviously use a computer. Try learning more computer skills and putting those skills to use in employment rather than sitting at home being paid by the likes of me via my taxes so tat you can stay at home and type and play on the internet.

Its so easy to fall into the trap of being ill and not wanting to work anymore.

I have been unwell the last six weeks, but I still get out everyday and do a full hard days work.

Bob its a culture thing round here and you may have fallen in the rut

No one will come and knock your door and offer you a good well paid job. This is something you will again have to get out and earn and build up to

Re: Dole Cheats

Can i just suggest something please,John? when we get to the stage of naming and shaming...that is a sad reflection of your state of mind, the next thing would be lets look closer at those who want to name and shame....maybe not!
Have you ever tried to live on benefits, having to pay your council tax, water bills, rising fuel cost, etc.Without the luxury of knowing that you could have an overdraft if push came to shove, also being able to plan for luxuries like christmas presents, and holidays,i think you should walk in others shoes before you can comment about things you obviously know little about,
and has for "naming and shaming"look back in history please and see what that mentality produced.

Re: Dole Cheats

Bob and Noleen

Thats the trouble with people.

You accept it is the norm to be on benefits and not working

Who pays for your benefits, people like me in work doing 12 hour shifts 6 days a week as a norm and mostly 7 days a week if i can get an OT shift.

Yet you both seem to think its ok for me to work all hours so long as you dont have to get out and find work.

As ive said, i have done all sorts of work, i still do when required, and by that i mean iwhen required to work rather than to sit at home claiming benefits.

Perhaps you should have a medal for working hard years ago Bob, but that was then, now you are in a rut and i am paying for you.

If we all had that mentality, then no one would work and no one would get any money.

We should have the system that is in the USA and if you decide not to take a job, fine, you still are expected to make your payments for bills but dont get any benefits

too many people just think ive worked a few years, ive got diabetes so cant work. Rubbish

if you are so bad with your illnesses, have you tried remploy Probably not its probably below you

get a life, get a job and earn your living

Re: Dole Cheats

I agree on some cases with you John, like the ones who turn down jobs time after time, or the ones who are not ill but pretend they are but you see them doing hobbles, but then there are people who are too ill to go to work!! I think you need to calm down about it or do something about it rather than slagging people off on here!! Next thing you will be having a go at old age people as "you" have to keep them as well by providing them with a pension. You should thank yourself that you are well and fit to go out and work!!

Re: Dole Cheats

hi leslie

thanks for your response

its not 0215 Sunday Morning, I have just completed a 12 hour shift and just logged on at ome

I have no problem with pensioners, and infact believe that pensioners should have free heating, electric and gas, free council tax transport etc as they have passed the age where you should be in work.

This could be achievable if those on benefits of working age were to get off their backsides and get a job and pay into the system.

People spout off about local income tax instead of the taxation system w currently have.

Lets be hoonest, if we had local income tax to pay for local services and locals on benefit, the local unemployed would be in deep trouble as there would not be enough money in the system locally to pay them.

there again perhaps this is not to bad a thing

I am a true socialist.

I believe my family fought for union rights. But one thing they did not fight for was the right for people to have no intention of working yet claim every penney they an, and also the unions fought for sick pay and benefits etc but did not fight for individuals to cheat the system and dump on their fellow working class.

If people are not working, cut their benefit and let them go without why is it that the working man (and women) cant have things, but the unemployed can

Re: Dole Cheats

Hi Noleen

thanks for your concerns

I am ok just fed up to think i have to work all over christmass and new yesr again on 12 hour shifts whilst lazy sods who have no intention of working are going to be sat at home spending time with their famillies or even out having a good time spending my taxes that they have had in benefits for sitting around with no intention of ever getting a job.

We now have around here some families where grandpatrents dont work, parents have never worked and their children and childrens children see it as the norm to never even think of getting a job and see it as the norm to just get paid benefits weekly. Then some claim for things whilst doing work for cash in hand. Some of these earn far more than me and i am working 12 hour shifts 5, 6, and sometimes seven days a week

Thats what gets me they are too lazy to get a job

well its never been easier to report a cheat

Just telephone 0800 854 440

I intend reporting anyone cheeting the system, as indirectly they are steeling from me as i have to pay high taxes to pay their benefits

Re: Dole Cheats

I have read the posts here and agree totally with john

I was made unemployed a few years ago when Stelco closed down.

I could have done the same as many others there and stayed unemployed (or even sign on the sick). But i did not. I went out every day looking for work. It took me a month but I did find a job and started work. Within three months i had a better job offer and within a further 12 months i had an even better one.

If i had stayed at home and vegitated as most on the dole do then i would have cost the taxpayer a fortune. As it is i have paid my way.

I also dislike paying for people to stay at home with no intention of working.

The system needs changing perhaps with a sliding scale that reduces benefits so that after a year, if you are not in work, you are not on benefits.

Re: Dole Cheats

Surely there is something that can be done to get people out of their houses (and pubs) and back into work.

Our Park needs a good clean up, so does the river, the walkways and the lane behind Brook Street

Why cant the government force people on the dole to do community work free of charge in return for their dole.

Why pay them when they don't do nothing, there is no work incentive

John I agree with you Report them all in-fact i have just written that number down you posted, and i intend to use it.

As you have said, enough is enough.

Re: Dole Cheats

John

Well Done and Well Said

I too work Shift work. Nothing worse than seeing layabout dole cheats hanging about the area.

You always see them with their fags, or their drink yet they dont earn a penny. About time someone got on top of this and reported them

Re: Dole Cheats

john you must have some kind of job to be able to work 7 12 hour shifts on the tamp unless its an exempted job it would be illegal, and by the way how old are you how long have you been working, is it a manual job, an office job, a factory job ,you aint shy so let us know and as for the other peoples comments, you wont see me drinking in a pub or out of 1, except maybe once every six or 8 weeks oh and i pay for that out of my pension that i payed for myself, and i still pay full council tax and water rates so get your facts right like i said i have worked for over 32 years i look for work but as i say would you employ me and no remploy is not below me they are actually cutting, back try to be more open and constructive not so abrasive there are cheats out there of course but by reporting them what if they have children who will loose out if they are boozers they will still booze

Re: Dole Cheats

oh and for the benefit of the other 2 clowns spouting rubbish i did not get made redundant although i have on 4 seperate occasions i was finished on medical grounds by a company doctor in agreement with a hospital specialist and i was working at the time not off sick as i had returned to work after my original illness, so you lot should stop generalising like i say you know nothing but there again empty vessels make most noise you are begining to get on my nerves we had a wfew words for people like you in school you would have been and probably where tell tale **** and probably bullied billy no mates

Re: Dole Cheats

i would just like to say john you need to open your mind just a little bit and stop tarring all people claiming benefits with the same brush.....
i do agree that a lot of people take the p*ss out of the system but its not freely available as you may beleive....
and to the person saying that people on benefits should do community service then when would they find the time to find a job and the people who get paid by the council to clean the streets would find themselves out of work and also claiming benefits...
also john dont you think your contradicting yourself saying that pensioners should get everything paid for them, what about the pensioners who have been on benefits?....
