Bath-based SRT Marine Technology has opened a Cardiff office.
The company decided to establish new premises in Regents Court following its recent acquisition of Cardiff-based 3D virtual reality business GeoVS.
SRT has already recruited a number of new staff members in Cardiff, including R&D technicians and software engineers.
Simon Tucker, chief executive officer of SRT, said: "The accommodation is perfect for research and development as people need an environment where they can relax and have the space to be creative. It is good to bring customers to and provides an ideal area for demonstrations and training."
The transaction for the new office was brokered on behalf of the landlord by chartered surveyor Cooke & Arkwright.
Kate Simpson, senior surveyor in business space at Cooke & Arkwright, said: "We were able to act very quickly for SRT, who were keen to open their new offices as soon as possible."
