Re: 1932-34 oddities

Sounds as if you have a cut-and-shut model

Re: 1932-34 oddities

A WM number relates to the nominal width of the wheel rim, in inches I think. Nowt to do with tyres.

Re: 1932-34 oddities

Sounds sensible, even though the manual refers to it as a tyre.

Come on you AH and PD tourer owners. Also Opals. Get into the garage and tell me your doors close like mine. I can't let Jack get away with his sarcastic comment!

Re: 1932-34 oddities

This probably explains the WM3 notation better:

The 19 refers to the wheel diameter in inches relative to the bead.

Re: 1932-34 oddities

Thanks. And I thought that WM3 would be narrow in comparison with most. WM0 looks about right for a mountain bike.

Robin I have E mailed you some photos of my AH door shuts. Hope they are of use.

Re: 1932-34 oddities

Thank you Gordon for your help. The pictures of your largely-original tourer confirm that the door closes on to the rear panel so that the closed door stands proud of that panel. How odd. So, Jack, not a cut and shut (thank goodness) nor a dodgy weld job!
