Having always had a soft spot for the Nippy, and having restored one many years ago, I dug into my retirement fund and bought Chris Gould's little book on the subject. I have since seen many pictures of Nippys (Nippies?) and notice differing ways of fitting the half-round rubber strip, sometimes between bonnet and radiator, as on chummies, and sometimes between bonnet and scuttle. On my car I put it at the front between bonnet and radiator as I thought it looked better. So which is correct? Or was it changed part way through production?
