In my search for the "perfect" Ulster replica for me, I've seen a couple with external oil filters, which seems to be a great improvement over the fly screen that is in the standard sump. I have heard that is suitable for catching pieces of the connecting rods and such, but doesn't work as well for the small bits. Unfortunately, the modern spin on filters stick out in the Seven engine bay. I've found a supplier that makes Tecalemit filter canisters for J and K type MGs and wondered if anyone has explored this or other similar options?
