Radiator Core type

Does anyone know when the change from hexagon core to A-type happened? I assume around 1927-1928?

According to Purves, it was May 1929. He states (perhaps unsurprisingly) that it was a long transition, so it's not guaranteed that a car made after May '29 won't have a honeycomb core from new.
