Re: Ruby engine installation

If you have lifting gear it is easy to put them back in gearbox and engine together. All on your own. Benefits much easier to connect gear box and engine together out of the car. Don't forget however if you do it this way don't forget to remove the gear stick beforehand. I recently put mine back in this way with all the ancillaries fitted starter, dynamo, manifold with carb. Once in just had to connect fuel pipe to petrol pump, exhaust pipe, radiator and electrics together with usual control linkages.

Re: Ruby engine installation

John W - to add weight to the suggestions, it's much easier to install the complete unit, even though there are as said some small difficulties to look out for. Hopefully, before anyone starts off about blind splines, I'd suggest they read the volume of correspondence under "blind splines" in the Search box. Good Luck, Cheers, Bill in Oz
