I second that some 12v pumps will operate on 6v at and supply a lower flow rate.

I can understand why a special might need a water pump, but surely an Opal doesn't need one? If the cooling system and engine are in good order and you are running with a fan, it should not suffer overheating problems.

Hi All Thanks for your input I will leave the water pump idea
The car does n,t have any problems with over heating
Its just the water pump works that well on my special
Thought i would fit one on "Opal" I have put a 4 blade fan on
today that was in my garage
So if its working OK leave it alone"
