Calling all Scots

This is a call for help.

I have agreed to buy a back axle casing from South West Scotland and I live in SW London. So,are there any Scottish friends who venture south of the border to attend events, who might act as couriers? I have friends from North Yorkshire as a first drop off point.

Here's hoping.

Gary.

Re: Calling all Scots

Where is the axle exactly Gary?

Re: Calling all Scots

It is on the Isle of Whithorn

Re: Calling all Scots

As a reminder we are just talking about the casing, so the 3 pieces will not weigh much, and would fit into a bin liner in your boot.

Steve Jones are you going on holiday to Scotland?

What about you Malcolm?

Re: Calling all Scots

Hi Gary

Steve is in Greece at the moment and may not be allowed back into the UK, never mind Scotland!
I intend going to the SA7C Rally in July if that is any help?

We might well be after Pembrey Gary. As Malcolm says, we're a few thousand miles away at the moment. One way or the other, between us, I'm sure we can sort something out given time.

Re: Calling all Scots

Whithorn is a long way from anywhere as Dave Wheatley will testify!

If it is just the casing I would use a courier - you might be quite surprised how cheap they can be these days.

I use parcel2go.com

Re: Calling all Scots

Hi Gary and everybody.
Yup, it's my axle casing.
Problem is SWMBO is ill, so I'm not likely to be going far for awhile.
There's a small chance that I might be going to Hornsea, East Yorks, but nothing certain.
I'm in no hurry, so no panic at this end.
Just to be clear, Isle of Whithorn is not an island (think Isle of Ely).
I often get to Newton Stewart, about 25 miles nearer.
It's worth following up Ruairidh's suggestion.
