Austin 7 Ruby CAR508

My wife's late father owned a Ruby for several years, back in the 1960s and into the early 1970s.

Some time ago, I looked into whether that car still exists, only to find that perhaps it does, except that there is a huge fly in the ointment. According to the A7CA's chassis register, the number CAR508 belongs to an Opal!

A further check on the ASKMID and DVLA websites reveals that the vehicle is neither taxed nor insured at this time.

So, would anyone on here happen to know anything about this car? Any info gratefully received.
