Piston Pin

Having real trouble removing the piston pin? Cannot see if it is even attached to anything? Has anyone else had this problem.

Re: Piston Pin

After removing the 1/4" BSF piston pin clamp screw in the connecting rod warm the piston to 60-80 degrees C and the pin should slide out, no hammers needed.

Re: Piston Pin

After removing the 1/4 inch bsf bolt I heat the piston, pin and little end of the con-rod by placing the whole lot in a pan of boiling water for a few minutes. I find it comes out easily if the rod is put in the vice and a drift is used on the pin. Not driven out with a hammer but just pushed out with hand pressure. Work fast however before it all cools down.
