Re: Oil catch can

Mike,
My take off is from the timing chest cover.
The VSCC scrutiners are always very reasonable and helpful. Whilst the Blue Book says a 1litre catch tank, providing you have one, I think many fit slightly smaller ones on sevens.
What they Test most:
You have a catch tank
Rain light (For racing)
Play in wheels (King pins and bearings)
Steering wheel play
Wheel spokes
Two return springs on throttle ( not in theBlue book requirement but seems a VSCC requirement)
Your race kit is in date
Fire extinguisher
Master cut out switch, suitably marked
You should lock wire your sump plug and from experience, your oil filter, if you have one. Your oil filler cap too is it has the habit of loosening.
Good luck....are you going to be racing? More VSCC Sevens, the better!
