Hi all don't know if it's a coincidence but after topping steering box up with Grease and d140 the steering has gone very stiff to straighten up OK to right and left but a big pull to get past straight. Can you over fill, can it be emptied and suggestions please. Thanks

Is it possible that the rest of the travel is now much looser thanks to new grease/oil and you have a tight spot which now sticks out like a sore thumb?

Tightness on centre is most annoying as it makes it difficult to make fine adjustments needed to keep things straight.

I spent some time grinding the worm and wheel together and have been able to achieve good performance over the whole travel.

If you over fill the box, it will just start to come out again - careful as it can work its way up the column and onto drivers' hands... I don't think it would cause your problem.
