To be clear, flitch plates are the bits that run forward from the base of the scuttle with a curve to them that the radiator surround fits in at the front. I'm guessing that you mean the filler pieces that are fitted to the chassis and fill the gap between the chassis rails and the flitch plates? Is that right?

The nearside (carb) plate is attached to the chassis where the fuel pipe clamp is (just ahead of the chassis number stamping). The Offside plate is not attached to the chassis, just to the flitch plate itself.

Hugh, thanks, my terminology is therefore incorrect. I mean the 'filler' plates as you describe.

There were some on ebay recently. May even still be on.
