Looking for a 7

Hello everyone,
Not tried posting here before, but as I'm having trouble finding a car, I thought I'd try my luck to see if anyone knows of a decent usable Austin Ruby, available for sale to a good home. I joined my local club a few months ago, but there never seems to be anything coming up for sale among members or in our newsletter - does anyone know if there is any way of accessing other clubs current newsletters, or are they for local members only? As you may guess, I'm new to the wonderful world on 7s! Oh well, just keep looking in the meantime I suppose.

Re: Looking for a 7

Hi Jessica

Welcome to the Forum!

There is a 1937 Ruby for sale in the November Pre-War Austin 7 Club magazine at Offers over £5000. It looks a good original car from the photo and blurb. The vendor is a Michael Shearer 0116 240 3412 or 07786 923027

I would opt for the later Mark 2 Ruby (1936 -1939)as it has a stronger body.
The earlier Ruby was a bit weak around the windscreen and windows.

Good luck!

Hi Jessica,
It may not be local to you but Chris Oliver in the north east had a Ruby, a Pearl and Chummy for sale recently. Try him on 0191 529 2615.
