I think at 5 3/4" they are too small. should they not be 6 1/2"?

Good morning. 1934 Ruby should be Lucas LB130. These are 6" (nominal diameter), originally fitted with a nearside dipping solenoid and offside single filament (main on, dip off).
They should also be 'handed' i.e the mounting bolt is offset 35degrees from the vertical.

Apart from the other comments already posted, the SVC lamps would not give the right beam pattern, unless you can rotate the light unit within the rim. These lamps are designed for the mounting to be vertically underneath the body. I use them on our Special, but I can mount them as designed.

Oops, just spotted a typo, it should be 32degrees.
