The next 750 Motor Club/Tunbridge Wells Centre event, the Cold Turkey Trial, will be held on 8th January, 2017, at Riverhill, near Sevenoaks, Kent. Classes for Austin Production cars, Modified cars and Specials and the event is insured and run under MSA regulations.

Owletts Field is easy to get into from the main road, there is hard standing parking opposite, and the TWC 'thunder-box' will be available for the comfort of competitors and spectators. Entry costs £20 and forms are available from Barry O'Sullivan.

Austin Seven trials are fun and beginners will find help and encouragement at every turn. The 'hills' are not designed to break cars - just test the drivers' skill.

Are entries still be accepted for this or is the event full? It would be a first trial but sounds like an ideal starter event.

David - I am sure Barry O'Sullivan will be along to say that entries are welcome. Have a go. It's brilliant fun and you will get lots of help and advice if wanted. We were novices last year and have 'caught the bug'.

For anyone contemplating an Austin Seven trials (or even VSCC trials):the Cold Turkey Trial is designed to test your driving skills - distance judgement, control of throttle, brakes and steering - not to break your car. You may get muddy and a bit damp but you and your bouncer will enjoy yourselves and meet a great bunch of enthusiasts who will be ready and willing to help you get the best out of the day.
