Re: Valve Spring Pressures Load

Andrew
Hi,

Wondering if anyone has some information about valve spring pressures for seat pressure and on full lift on an early block with stepped valve guides. Both for single and double springs or other springs.

Happy if you want to email me details.

Many thanks
A

Hi Andrew, This information must be readily available simply because new springs are being made and sold so the manufacturer and sellers must have a set of Specs to work from Other wise it is all hit and mis.
As this would make it very hard for Engine builders.

Would be nice to hear from a manufactuer

Re: Valve Spring Pressures Load

Agree with Colin. Re my previous posting, 'cos I was sending from local library I had no reference when trying to remember the name of the part, so called it a "base plate". In the Parts Lists for the RP they are called "cups", but in the Type 65 Parts List the terminology is "spring caps". Cups or caps, it's your guess. Cheers, Bill
