Re: TJ 2844 spotted on Maltese Classic Car Facebook page .........

I too have a TJ registered RP, it is a shame that Lancs no longer has any further info, see below:

"Unfortunately, due to the upheaval and chaos ensuing in transferring vehicle licensing records from local authorities to the DVLC in the early 1970's, very few vehicle licensing records have survived.

We have a Register of 'Void' Vehicle Licenses for TJ 1 – 9999 (Reference VLL 1/25), but unfortunately the entry for TJ 164 is blank, and we have no other records which would indicate the vehicle this registration may have belonged to.

I am sorry we have been unable to help you further on this occasion."

However I must say that the Lancashire Records Office was very quick and efficient even though the answer was a no.

So I have a big gap from 1932 through to the early '70s.

The 'modern' is an A35; you can tell from the rear window hole. A30s have a smaller flat glass.

Location: just north of Cambridge
