Headlight rim

Hi All, I have on one of my Austin (opal) a little problem
Not sure how to remove the headlight rim, At the bottom
It has a lever which has the word pull on it
have tried with no luck to remove the rim
Don,t want to force it
But need help to see how it comes off

Location: blackpool

Re: Headlight rim

john if it is like mine the lever or T grip is on a spring, pull it and dislocate the pin / barb on the T from the hole in the rim. Insert a blade screwdriver between the rim and the lamp body adjacent to the T. The rim should come off

Re: Headlight rim

Good morning John. As your headlamp is fitted with the spring loaded rim clip fitting it might have a rubber sealing ring between the glass and rim.
This rubber ring can make rim removal difficult so as per the previous advice use a screwdriver at the bottom between the shell and rim and ease the rim forward until it clears the shell and then remove from the top of the shell.
