Rear seat padding

I have read a lot about inflatable seat cushions on the forum and assume this applies to the front seats only. Could someone advise what was originally used in the rear seat of a 1933 Saloon. At the moemnt it has some rather nasty yellow foam which needs replacing.

The seat leather is in very good condition and forms an "envelope" over the base which can be opened by undoing the press studs.

Many thanks for your help.

Re: Rear seat padding

Hi Richard. The '33 de-luxe saloon originally had Mosely Float-on-Air inflatable cushions front and rear. Unless you want to spend a lot of money, some good-quality foam is probably you best option.

Location: Herefordshire, with an "E" not a "T".

Re: Rear seat padding

Thanks Martin. A better quality foam most likely to be the answer as replacement ride on air options look rather expensive.

Re: Rear seat padding

Richard,
Type in "inflatable seat cushions" in the search box. There is a load of chit chat about them.
Dave.
Looks as though you have done that already!

Re: Rear seat padding

If you can, find a friendly upholsterer who has different grades of foam, and try two or three bits out to get the correct grade.

Then you can get something oversize and shape it to the cover you have.

Whoever did my car put the wrong foam in the front seats - looks ok but too soft, which will get changed soon.
