tyre pressures

Hi Fellas.I have an Austin Seven Special.1935.Excelsior tyre.Rear ones okay but front ones are wearing out the middle tread.
What pressure would you recommend so as to stop the middle wearing out.

Normally wear in the middle means pressure is too high. I run my Nippy Blockleys at 22psi.
