Re: The Bards Nicht...

One Burns Supper down this year, and two more to go. We can't get real haggis here as the lungs won't pass, so we have to do with lungless haggis. I always make a batch of Atholl Brose, but have a hard time finding heather honey. We also have a tradition started by some Vancouver, BC friends who are of Chinese extraction. Its called, Gung Haggis Fat Choy and combines a Burns Supper with Chinese New Year. Nothing like haggis and egg roll to start off the year.

Reckless Rat
This one is for Renaud:

Went straight to my heart RR! Thanks. Though I read a lot of your writers I believe I never read Burns... Shame on me.
And good haggis to Ruairidh too.

My favourites are MacSweens and M&S own make Jon.

I sent some tinned Haggis to friends in France recently but have to try it - a weegie friend tells me he prefers it!

Sat here digesting a generous helping of a Simon Howie Haggis - as good as I've ever tasted!
