It ain't over till the fat lady sings! I tend not to take too much notice of an eBay sale result when cars are concerned, until I see feedback exchanged as confirmation that the sale actually completed.

Over the years, I have regularly put old cars on my watch list, mainly out of curiosity. It's surprising just how many end up being re-listed due to 'timewaster', 'no contact', 'winning bidder failed to show up', etc. It seems that cars in particular attract bidders who exhibit this sort of behaviour.

Because the other three letters make up their initials or job - like R23 VET. I know someone in the poultry industry who has **51 HEN on a 2016 Chelsea tractor.

You have to be seriously vain to want one of these, when the private joke isn't obvious to anyone else!

On the other hand, I wonder if MPR10R is available? I'd have to be a complete PEN 1 S to want to buy it, though!

Oops, my bluff is called! Maybe I'll wait to see if it comes down any further…it's a long way to go to collect and I'm running out of space and I'm still in the process of building another special which I must finish in time for another go at Puy Notre Dame.

well sed in the first instance ian,

although timewaster etc, can often mean the seller was biding up his own item and didnt get it to what he wanted.

it all depends on the individual who is selling.

Yes, it is still listed and still no feedback for the 'Sale' of the car for £4600.

However, the link below shows another listing has now appeared. Number plate stripping is probably the name of the game.

If you now follow the link to the most recent eBay listing in my 25/03 post, the Austin 7 has been totally transformed...... into a 2008 Vauxhall Tigra!
