Re: Smartening up a canvas hood

I was wondering about shoe polish. I once used it on a vinyl roof (remember them?) and, erm, tyre side-walls prior to selling.................

I did find this on http://www.austin7.org/
The only ingredient I recognise is water and I suspect I could be visited by the security services if I tried to obtain the rest.

Re: Smartening up a canvas hood

Can't recommend Renovo products highly enough. Rather more expensive than a tin of Kiwi but not only recolour but weather proof superbly.

Re: Smartening up a canvas hood

Ive used Cuprinol 'Ducksback' for weatherproofing and colouring faded canvas tarpaulains before. I notice they do black.

Im guessing that at £10 for 5l that its more than worth a punt!. Worked well on the tarp for my steamer and trailer.

Location: not north wales any more
