Highly Commended

On Saturday Chris Charles and I attended the Awards Presentation at the Practical Classics Restoration Show at the NEC. The A7CA had been shortlisted for the award for "Outstanding website of the year" Six clubs were nominated. The A7CA website was awarded "Highly Commended"; and the TR register was website of the year. All congratulations and thanks to Chris for all his hard work on the website.

Re: Highly Commended

A good result and well-deserved - congratulations Chris!

Re: Highly Commended

When you stop for a moment and consider the membership of the TR Register (the fact that they are able to employee permanent staff gives a clue), I think this is a remarkable outcome. I gather that not all classes had a 'Highly Commended' awarded, so to my mind, an even greater indication of the efforts of a totally volunteer organisation...

Congratulations also - a great reward for a lot of hard voluntary work. Cheers, Bill

Re: Highly Commended

The TR site probably ticked all the scorers' boxes, as its got in-depth classifieds, forum, merchandising and so on. It IS nice and easy to use.

But the Seven site is doing something really important.

Re: Highly Commended

Well done indeed. Although we are very much in the background it is appropriate to emphasise just how much we appreciate all the hard work and commitment of time given by those who have earned this recognition.
