Loads of posts appearing on Facebook about the National Rally in Queensland, any Forum users attending?
At least three club members drove their Austin Sevens from Melbourne to Toowoomba- 1,500 kms, 1,000 miles.
Location: Melbourne. Victoria, Australia.
This photo that includes the 'Duck' was taken by Ian Holthouse.
Roofs as sunshades rather than rain covers, oh the joy!!!
David Grear sends me this link to photos from the event:
This was a great turn out. I think there was 115 or so cars. Dwindled down to 60-70 when the photo with the Duck out front was taken.
I saw a few of the users on here driving their machines.
Location: Sunshine Coast Queensland
The following should take you to a photo of Graham's two cars and the Meteor I have. (the Ruby was driven up and won the longest distance driven)
Another good link for some photos from the Nationals that is being shared about the place.
can you tell me more about this please?
Nice footage at this site.
That car was entered as 1929 Supercharged Tourist Trophy Factory Team Replica Ards Circuit North Ireland.
It is fitted with a Cozette supercharger. Magneto and coil deliver spark to 8 spark plugs.
Bob Booth had a hand in the 25 stud head. Aluminum body by Bill Sheehan.
Its existence is credited to Harry and Deidre Pyle of the Western Australian A7 club.
The car seems to drive well and relatively trouble free for what it is. There are a few photos of it on some of the links I have previously suggested worthy of having a look.
If you want more info I shall dig further.
Thanks Duncan - I personally have never seen dual ignition A7, love it!
