Hi Ken, That looks fine, but I would Skim the pressure plate.
there are a couple of things to watch
If being done in a lath you will probably need to take at least a 10th cut first up as the surface will have hardened and you need to get underthat in one go it will only be necessary to take out about 85% of the marks.
This will not have any detrimental Effect on the Plate,
And as you are rebuilding the Engine that is the way to go

Hi Colin .I am thinking the same, I have a boxford lathe with a 9"swing so it will fit.Thanks for your advice.
