Re: Austin 7 project for sale (1932)

Bloody hell. Nearly spilt my tea when I saw the price.

Re: Austin 7 project for sale (1932)

No mention of a V5, I think he's selling the idea for £3K and throwing in a selection of ironmongery which may or may not be of any use but will cost the same again to find out.

Re: Austin 7 project for sale (1932)

Well reckers I was offered this on email a few weeks ago.

If I payed £3k and I think it's in Devon or such like if I remember. So a days work, derv ect.

Fancy giving me a quick profit at £4k

It's always a big put off to the trade when it's already been on ebay several times.

I think I offered £800. Then I had to collect, there's no v5,

And I thought that was high as there's a lot of risk to take on with the condition of everything.

Re: Austin 7 project for sale (1932)

The guy is genuine, but as has been said he's got what is probably an unrealistic price in mind. He put a new floor in my 65 along with a new ash frame and work on the body.

His original intention was to complete a single seat road/race car then I butted in and he did my car. He ran out of steam medically and felt unable to complete his own car. He has a long history of racing MG's and been a car frame and body restorer for 50 years.
