26 VA petrol feed pipe thread.

Anyone know what the thread is on the 26 VA petrol feed pipe is please? If the bowl threads are metric (m7?) I assume the feed pipe thread is also metric. It isn't 1/4" BSP because I have managed to retap the carb hole at this size.

Re: 26 VA petrol feed pipe thread.

If the thread is not too damaged .5 inch UNF 20 tpi adequately corrects over short lengths. It is the size used for postawr carbs so unions from those and accessory parts can be used

Re: 26 VA petrol feed pipe thread.

If you helicoil then a permanent fix and no odd sized bolts, I hate having to break out AF or metric spanners when working on a seven because threads have been altered. So frustrating when you know what size it should be and you keep having to muck about because of a past owner when there is no need.
